Charles Catering is an upscale personal chef service. The only focus of Charles Catering is your next catered event. Part of the chef's inspiration to start this business was the fact that most caterers in the area are actually restaurants, delis, and other retail food venues that offer catering services as a sideline to their primary foodservice facilities. Chef Charles' primary focus is quality and attention to detail when planning your event. I consult with you in person, do the purchasing, and deliver the product along with the necessary equipment to prepare it, do the cooking, clean up the kitchen and do the follow up with every customer. Charles Catering embraces the Local Harvest movement. I believe in supporting a healthy style of eating by working with local farmers, gardeners, fishermen, and foragers whenever possible to put fresh, wholesome foods on your table. I believe in "slow food" rather than the "on the run, give it to me now, packed with chemicals and preservatives, fat filled, sugar coated garbage" that is being passed off as food. Because a desirous palate knows no boundaries Chef Charles networks with and purchases from suppliers nation wide. Morel mushrooms from the forest floors of Northern Michigan, live lobsters from the coast of Maine, fresh Pacific Salmon from the great northwest, salumi from the markets of New York City, and succulent fruits and vegetables from the gardens and groves of California. You want it, you got it, all served up in your home, on your boat, at the beach or just about anywhere you wish.
